Story about Stella

Stella came to me and wanted to know about her parents who had passed on. She said one had died not too long after the other. I asked her if they had a close relationship because souls who were very close on the other side often were born around the same time and also died around the same time. Stella told me they had been divorced for over 30 years. So I assumed they had not been very close.

I tried and tried but could not connect to either of her parents. I finally told her I was sorry but I was getting nothing. She said that was OK and to just do a past life reading for her. I picked up many lives for her. In quite a few of these lives she had been an advisor to kings, pharohs, queens, the person in her town that people came to for help with their problems. It was definitely a recurring theme for her. She resonated with this since in this life she was the person who all her friends would come to for advise. Stella said she was also the middle man for her parents. After their divorce, they didn't want to talk to each other but if they needed something from the other, they used their daughter as the middle man.

After she told me this, her parents came to me with this information: They were definitely "soulmates",what you might call "twin flames". They were so close that in most of their past lives, they reincarnated together, not really wanting to be apart. They had decided that in this life they would marry to be together for a while and then separate to see what it was like to live without the other. While writing their contract before coming here, they asked Stella to be their daughter. This way when they separated they would have someone they both knew to be their contact so they would at least know what was going on with each other. Stella had such a good track record for being an understanding advisor, they thought she was the perfect soul for their daughter in this life.

Their lives had worked out just how they wanted it and they wanted to thank Stella for being such a wonderful go-between for them. This all made perfect sense to Stella and knew what she heard was correct.

It is always so interesting to me how we, as souls, plan out our life lessons here on this earthly plane, how we contract with just the right souls to help us, and even though we don't remember all this planning when we get here, it all works out just as we planned. Amazing!!

Thanks for sharing your time and this story with me.

TAROT CARD - QUEEN OF CUPS

The Queen of Cups represents a good natured person, happiness, a gentle person, a good wife and/or loving mother, she can also represent a person whose imagination out weighs their common sense. In some rare cases the Queen may also represent a person who is controlling or even manipulative.

No card in the tarot has more intuition then the Queen of Cups, she is often compared to a mirror as she reflects the hidden depths of others back to them, this is so they can see their own mysteries for themselves, and however, the Queens secrets remain hidden even to her at times. The Queen of Cups can almost always be found in people near you or even in yourself. Some may think the Queen of Cups is psychic, however, this is not the case, and she does poses extraordinary insight into the behavior and motivations of others. She is often seen as a gifted counselor and healer ready to provide a shoulder to cry on if and when it becomes necessary. Her beauty lies in the purity of her spirit. Even if she is not physically beautiful, her spirit will attract others too her. She is also a dreamer with wonderful fantasies and a vivid imagination.

Like most other cards the Queen of Cups do have negative qualities, she often loses herself in her fantasies and daydreams, and though completely confident in her instincts she is unable to apply these instincts to anything in the real world. When it comes to poetry, music, artistry, and mothering no other card can compete with her. Spending as long as she does in the spiritual world tends to make her quite uncomfortable when she has to leave it. She places great importance on relationships because she sees herself as unable to stand alone, she needs and wants someone by her side.

When the Queen of Cups appears in reference to a part of your own personality is should be taken as a suggestion to think carefully about how you use the vast stores of the spiritual wisdom you have access to at all times. The Queen of Cups can be a sign that you should use your intuition to guide you, it can also be a warning that you are thinking too much with your heart and not your head. If you continue to do this it can cause your dreams to grow out of control, and out of your reach.

If the Queen of Cups appears in the “How Others See You” position it could mean that others see you as a person who is a very good judge of character, you know at a glance who you can trust and who you can’t. You are the type of person who is there for others, you are the type of person who would give someone the shirt off your back and not expect anything in return for doing so.

If the Queen appears in the “Past Influences” position it could mean that you have listened to your intuition and found the answers you are looking for. You no longer let your heart rule you; you listen to both your heart and your head and then make the decision that is best suited for you.

KNIGHT OF CUPS

The Knight of Cups represents the coming or going of an emotional matter, it also represents intelligence, a romantic dreamer. The Knight may enter your life as a person or even as a part of yourself.

The Knight of Cups is a messenger, he often manifests as a bearer of news. He represents invitations, messages of love, and proposals of marriage. In addition to the physical sources of information the Knight of Cups can also represent a wisdom that comes from your dreams, and this can help you overcome obstacles in your life. Many times this card can represent the start of a relationship, it can also show daydreaming and idealism, and it highlights relationships in which one partner is placed on and unfair pedestal.

The Knight of Cups is not dashing across the land with the wind blowing through his hair. His horse moves forward, but slowly, giving and impression of calmness and peace. He is in touch with his intuition and emotions, and he uses them to his own advantage during his quests of romance and seduction. The Knight of Cups is a dreamer, who is known to have wild ideas and flights of fancy. His wild imagination puts a little spark in any relationship he may be involved in, and he always seems to be in a relationship of some kind, because he is a born romantic-and of course a hopeless flirt. Beneath his calm exterior he is a man of great passion. He has an idealistic view of life and he has no tolerance for people who cannot or will not believe in their dreams.

If the Knight of Cups appears in your spread it could be a warning that you are getting too wrapped up in your dreams. The Knight can also show you what you are missing out on if you take everything so seriously and literally. The Knight of Cups is a balancing card, telling you to follow your dreams but don’t let them rule you. It is ok to show love but don’t get obsessive about it. In short you are the one in control of your life and your dreams; don’t turn that control over to anyone.

If the Knight of Cups appears in the “How Others See You” position it could mean that others see you as a dreamer, you have a very romantic heart and want to share it with others. It could also mean they see you being a little flighty but this does not define or rule you.

If the card appears in the “Final Outcome” position it could mean that you are finally in control of your life, you have learned to balance our dreams with reality, you aren’t taking everything so literal.

Tarot - Page of Cups

PAGE OF CUPS

The Page of Cups (also called the Knave) represents gentleness, sweetness, interests in art and poetry, and kindness. The Page of Cups can also represent a message about a creative or artistic project; it can represent a romance or an emotional situation.

The Page of Cups in a sense portrays an image of gentleness, she suggests the birth of something new, and it could be a rebirth of your capacity to love, or a renewal of your faith when it comes to love. You may need this faith because you were hurt in a past relationship. You have been in pain and you have spent time when you did not believe in yourself. You must go through the pain in order to have this rebirth and find the ability to love again. Just like all the other Pages they suggest something delicate and fragile, something easily misunderstood. Our sense of self love is seen the same way, however, this sense of self love can lead to a more fulfilling life.

Those who are represented by the Page of Cups are called true romantics at heart. This person is very compassionate and gentle, is usually artistic and can be highly imaginative. The Page of Cups is seen as a person whose imagination is free, free to create a life exactly as she chooses, just remember even though her head may be in the clouds her feet are firmly on the ground. Many times the Page of Cups refers to children, and that is due to the fact that she is still very childlike herself. The Page of Cups often seems dreamy yet detached a lot of the time. Ideas may seem elusive and impossible to realize but their base is solid. Regardless of all this the Page of Cups is there and always ready to serve in any way possible.

If the Page of Cups appears in the “Future” position you could be being told that on a feeling level you are in for something new. It could be a new relationship, or it could mean something new is coming to an old relationship. This card could also be telling you that you have been through a tough time but not only are you beginning to love yourself but others as well. If the Page of Cups appears in the “Hopes and Fears” position it could mean you are afraid to love yourself because you have been hurt, you think the problem lies within you, you don’t think you will ever be able to love again. This is your fear. Your hope is that one day you will know that the problem is not only you. You hope that one day you can learn to love yourself again and if you can, perhaps you can learn to love someone else.

It may not seem like it but this card is a card of hope, children always have hope, and that is what this card reminds us to do….Hope.

Tarot Card - Nine of Cups

The Nine of Cups represents a wish that may come true, it can mean physical well-being, and it could also mean an assured future.

Now that all the difficulties are over the Nine of Cups comes in, and this card is known as the Wish card, it is also the most uplifting and positive cards in the Tarot. The card represents satisfaction on sensual, emotional, and physical levels. Many believe that if the Nine of Cups makes an appearance it should be taken as a sign that whatever your hearts desires, it will soon be granted, just be careful as it may not happen exactly as you expect, but be assured the wish will be granted. You are rewarded for the efforts you have made and the commitment.

Remember that all cups cards usually refer to emotions and relationships. The Nine of Cups refers to an emotionally fulfilling relationship; it can be the consummation of a sexual relationship, the strengthening of a romantic bond, or the solidification of a very good friendship. This card allows you to see that happiness and joy are in your grasp. It could also mean you already have all this in your life. The Nine is also a reminder to enjoy all you have in your life for as long as you have it. Take time everyday to give thanks for all the people you love, and those who love you back, with this card you can see the perfection that is all around you.

If the Nine of Cups appears in your spread you are a very lucky person, you are one of the few who gets to have your wish come true. You have made all the sacrifices you were meant too and now you are about to receive your reward. If the Nine of Cups appears in the “How others see you” position it could mean others see you as a very special person, they see the change in you. Others now see you as a very happy person, you have pulled yourself out of your depression, and the wish you asked for has now come true. If the Nine of Cups appears in the “Crowning” position it could be said you have your head in the clouds, or that you are on cloud nine.

You may be wondering if there is any kind of warning associated with this card as there have been with almost all the others, the answer to that is no. The Nine of Cups is one of the few cards that does not come with a warning or an alternate meaning, this card is just what it says it is, a wish card….and your wish has come true.

Tarot Card - Ten of Cups

The Ten of Cups represents a lasting happiness, a happy family life, and true friendship. The Ten of Cups represents the cycles that have been completed, lives that have been well lived, and journeys that have been finished. Peace and serenity are in the air, and for a while you are able to forget all the materialistic troubles that have surrounded you, nothing material matters, the only thing that matters is the happiness that has been earned through trials and tribulations. This success is not a temporary one, but one of lasing peace and harmony. You have no regrets over your past, you have no concerns for the future, this means you can seize the day and live in the moment.

The Ten of Cups represents a state of permanence and contentment. The reunion of these lovers has dissipated, even with all the troubles you went through. The Ten of Cups can be seen as a marriage that was built on a conscious union between two loving but separate partners. These two lovers can now enjoy their future with the knowledge that they can now endure and even survive any challenge that life may throw at them. The Ten of Cups often means an ongoing and permanent contentment in the realm of the heart.

As with most of the cards in the Tarot this one also comes with a warning. The warning of the Ten of Cups is not to squander those precious moments that have been given to you. It warns you not to take your happiness for granted, for if you do you run the risk of watching that happiness slip sway. Don’t let your time just sit there and do nothing you must keep this love in a constant state of growth and renewal. The Ten of Cups reminds you not to go looking for problems, relax and enjoy what you have. If you have paid attention and learned your lessons you have nothing to fear and nothing can take your happiness away from you.

If the Ten of Cups appears in the “Future” positions then you have great things headed your way, you are fighting for your happiness and it is all about to pay off. If the card appears in the “Hopes and Fears” position it could mean you want to stay where you are in your relationship, but you are afraid it is too good to be true. You know what you have is what you fought so hard for so don’t let your fears ruin it.

Characteristics:
Speed of thought or deed. Quick-wittedness. Forward progress, purposeful motion. Willingness. Sure-footed, confident, loyal. EHWAZ represents the horse. EHWAZ implies controlled change, progress, and sometimes a journey. It also represents partnership, trust, loyalty, and faithfulness, such as that between horse and rider, brother and sister, two halves of the whole.

Tarot Card - Eight of Cups

The Eight of Cups represents a disappointment in love, abandonment from your current path in life, the desire to leave the success you have for the possibility of something higher; it could also mean you are miserable for no reason.

The Eight of Cups represents the most difficult stage of your journey towards your goal of your relationship. The Eight of Cups signifies the most painful stage in a relationship because there is nothing further that can be done, you must give up and start again. When faced with this situation many people would continue to bully, plead, and even in some cases blackmail their partner in hopes of changing their present circumstances. This is not the case, you must be willing to let go, it is the letting go that will change you, and allow you to move forward.
Many see this card as telling you that you have listened to your inner voice, and searched your soul, but you are still feeling like you are only living half a life. You know what it is you want to do; you now need to do what is necessary to make it happen. You need to be strong, if you aren’t strong and just give up you may end up wondering “what if”. The message is usually one of sacrifice, and that sacrifice usually comes from the heart. If the Eight of Cups appears in your spread the message (depending on the question) could be telling you that you cannot go backwards, nor can you just stay where you are, you must make the best of your future. The Eight of Cups is often a card of self discovery.

If the Eight of Cups appears in the “Significator” position it is trying to tell you that this situation of going through the pain is the only thing you are focused on. You can’t think of anything else except the pain, nothing else matters. Why are you so focused? You need to figure it out and fix it. If the Eight of Cups appears in the “How you see yourself” position, you could be being told you need to take a close look at where you are. You already know this, but for some reason you are ignoring what you know you need to do. You can see yourself going through the pain, but what you need to see is yourself letting go of that pain and starting again.

It may not seem like it but the Eight of Cups is a very good and positive card. Yes it represents a period of mourning, however, once the mourning process is over, the card is telling you that there is a new and brighter future to look forward too. It is all about balance so take a look at your situation and see what if anything can be done to balance out your life.

Pronunciation: Awn - sooze
English Letter Equivalent: A as in hat. Long A as in harm, lawn.
Translation: A god. Odin, (in reverse Loki - messenger of the gods and a trickster)
Meaning: Knowledge. Wisdom. Communication. The mouth. A message.
Runic Number: 4
Color: Dark Blue
Element: Air
Polarity: Male

Characteristics:
ANSUZ is primarily Odin's rune and represents communication, creativity, controlled and divine power. Spiritually, it is the rune of prophecy and revelation. It also encompasses the ideas of wisdom, knowledge, reason, and therefore of instruction and good advice. It might also refer to a test, examination, or perhaps an interview. It can mean a letter, book, paper, message or other information. Because Loki was a renowned trickster, ANSUZ reversed may also portend a surprise, trick or subterfuge.

Personal Interpretation:
The answers to questions are available but not yet recognized. Look for signs and confirmations which are all around. Everything has significance and appreciation of this will lead to understanding. Ensure you don't ignore the message because you don't like the content. All experience is a lesson that teaches by acknowledging the truth knowledge and wisdom will increase.

Reverse:
Take care not to misinterpret information. Something you read is more important than it appears. Beware pranks.

Rune #11 - ISA - Standstill

Alternative NamesAnglo-Friesian/Germanic: IsaNorse (Viking): IsOld English: IsOther Names/Spellings: Eis, Icz, Isar, Isaz, Iss
English Letter Equivalent: I (short) as in sit.
Pronunciation: Ee-saw
Translation: Ice
Runic Number: 11
Color: Black
Element: Ice (i.e. Water)
Polarity: Female
Associated gods: Verdandi
Astrological Correspondence: The Moon

Meaning:
Ice, cold, freezing. Lack of change. Stagnation. Lack of emotion. Storing binding. Bridge across danger.

Characteristics:
Isa means ice. Although ice can be beautiful, it is also dangerous. It can be slippery or treacherously thin, or block your progress. Isa means that you may have to delay your plans until a more favorable season. But it can take the heat out of a confrontation, or protect against magical attack.

Emotionally,
Isa implies a cooling of affection, or frigidity. It has a freezing, delaying, or preserving effect on other runes around it.

Personal Interpretation:
A period of non-action is indicated. Do not let yourself get into a rut. Do not take anyone for granted. Be not afraid to show your feelings. Crossing water will be beneficial. Things appear to be at a standstill and this is not a time to try to force movement. Patience and wisdom are called for. This is not the time to abandon goals, but an opportunity to reaffirm them. This is a time for contemplation and preparation, not despondency or regrets. Things will change as surely as winter changes to spring and then summer.

Reverse:
ISA has no reverse.

Converse:
Coolness hides emotion. An impending change will not be of benefit. Smiles mask evil intentions.

Animals as Healing Helpers

Blessings come in sooo very many packages. My blessings come through many good, loving friends who are always willing to help me spiritually, emotionally and mentally and are always willing to involve themselves in my growing and evolving. One such friend is Cristina. She believes, as I do, that both horses and dogs have very strong healing powers. That is not to say, that only horses and dogs have healing powers. I am sure you have all watched the specials on T.V. where scientists are attempting to prove that whales, dolphins, elephants and many other animals have the power of healing. Personally, I believe as the Hindu's teach that ALL life is sacred and each living organism has their own special powers. Now I gotta tell ya - I'm not so sure about spiders, but.... Anyway, back to Cristina. She just sent me an article that touched my spirit and I want to pass it on because her openness and honesty are so very precious. I posted it on our http://www.FM2YO.blogspot.com 'I Believe' blog where you can read it in its entirety, along with some other really great articles, so I will give you the short version here.

Cristina went to a friend to receive a healing through her horse. She opened the door to a horse’s stall allowing Joey, the horse, to come out, stand by Cristina. She places her hands on Joey, while her friend took her on a meditation journey. At one point during the meditation, she heard the horse in the next stall, lick her lips, and knew this had meaning. Once the meditation was ended, her friend explained that Saphire had licked her lips to help her release “stuff”. After she went home, she took a nap, woke up relaxed and joyful. ( Now, I'm not really sure where people find time to take naps, but again, that has nothing to do with the story.) She started to look at her e-mail and all of a sudden she knew Saphire’s licking dislodged a memory she had hidden very deep in her brain. She had never told anyone about this tramatic event and knew she hadn't been able to deal with it or even let herself face it. But now, using the horse as an instrument for healings the realization hit her, “Oh my gosh, I have to let this go!” All this because she was willing to listen to a horse lick her lips! Is our world not the most wonderful place to live and learn? What is the statistic? We only use 14% of our brains? Well, I think Cristina is now using a few more percentage points and areas of her brain.

We have so very many blessings and so very much to be thankful and grateful for and Cristina's story is just one of those things I am thankful and grateful for. Thank you so very much for sharing your story and article with me! You truly are appreciated.

For more information concerning Cristina and to read her complete story, please visit our website at: http://www.fromme2youonline.com or click on the link above and it will take you to Cristina's story and our 'I Believe' blog also.

Tarot Card - The Seven of Cups

The Seven of Cups represents illusionary success, being unable to choose a direction in life; it can also mean a long – worked imagination.

The Seven of Cups when it comes to matters of the heart can mean you are faced with too many possibilities. Some call this card the “Fairytale” card, there are many potentials for the future but all these potentials can only come down from the clouds with a great deal of hard work. The card can mean you are at a crossroads; the choice you make will change your life…..forever. You have the choice of facing up too your mistakes, or you can do nothing and continue to suffer. To put it another way there may be times when you have to choose between several options, all these options are very tempting, but only one can be and is the right choice. There may also be a time when some of those choices are not choices at all, they are figments of your imagination, they are choices you wish you could have.

The Seven of Cups is here to remind us that we all need to be very vigilant in our everyday life. We need to be on our guard against temptation. Be aware of the consequences before you take any offers that may seen to good to be true. This card tells us it is good to have dreams, just don’t let them get to far out of control, don’t let your head reach into the clouds. When all your choices seem very attractive but you are not sure which one to choose, turn to your inner voice, your intuition, it will tell you which one is best for you. There is times however when your intuition tells you nothing, if that happens perhaps you are not supposed to choose any of them. Keep your feet on the ground and your head out of the clouds.

If the Seven of Cups appears in the “Future Influences’ position it could be telling you there are some choices coming your way and you are going to have some tough decisions to make in order to make the right choice. The card could also be warning you against a future temptation, you won’t know what it is but you will have to resist it.

If the card appears in the “Final Outcome” position, depending upon the question, it could mean you faced temptation and made the choice not to give into it. You could have asked about someone else, and they did or did not give into their temptation. Being in the final outcome position could also mean that you faced some very hard and emotional decisions and you probably made the right one or ones. You kept your feet firmly on the ground and did what was best for you.

Past Life Reading/Clearing - Sherry

When I did a reading for Sherry, I saw her as a seventeen year old boy in what is now known as Russia. There was a lot of fighting going on between tribes or groups of neighboring peoples. He wanted to go and fight. His Mother just put her foot down and refused to allow him to go. Her husband had been killed in just such a battle and she didn't want to lose her only son. Besides, this was a very long time ago and it was hard for a woman with children to take care of herself and her family without a man to help. He realized her hardship, but knew this was something he just had to do. When a few of the local men left to go fight, he sneaked off with them into the fight. His mother was inconsolable. It absolutely broke her heart. Even her two daughters couldn't do anything to help. When news came to her later that her son (Sherry) had been killed in battle, it was too much for the Mother and she was never the same again. She suffered from terrible depression and would just sit and stare. The young daughters were taken care of by relatives, but when they were older they ended up taking care of their mother.

Sherry's mother (in her past life) is currently her best friend in this life. When I told her this, she said that made perfect sense to her as her best friend is always so worried about her and will call her if she hasn't heard from her for more than two days. Her best friend is always making sure that Sherry is OK and Sherry now understands why her friend acts more like a mother who is still worried about her son who had gone off to battle from that past life.

Tarot Card - The Six of Cups

The Six of Cups represents happiness and pleasure brought from the past, good memories, a new friendship, a gift from a childhood acquaintance, a gift from an admirer, and new opportunities. It can also represent living in the past, and disappointment.

The Six of Cups is the only card in the Tarot that refers to the past, and of your good times you had while there. While you are looking at your past don’t focus on the negative, you need to focus on the positive things you did, remember them so you can use them in future relationships. This card reminds you to look forward, what’s done is done; it is time to move onto bigger and better things. You have had time to heal, the negativity is gone, go forward. Don’t worry if you look back at your past we all do, we all look back once in a while, this is good as we get to see just how far we have come, just remember don’t dwell in the past.

The Six of Cups can also at times represent something coming from the past back into your life. A past relationship, whether it be romantic, or professional may be coming back. A promise that was made in the past could be coming true in the near future. You have reached a state of serenity, a place of joy. In its simplest form you have reached and are in your “happy place”. If the Six of Cups appears in a spread it could be telling you to go ahead and look to your past, there are some very wonderful times you had in your past. Be careful though, you can’t live in the past, but it is okay to visit. The card could also be telling you that someone or something from your past is coming back into your life. The Six of Cups is a card of joy so you don’t have to worry about anything bad coming back from your past, unless of course you bring it with you.

If the Six of Cups appears in the ‘Hopes and Fears” position you are being told you are conflicted about something, you know there is something you need to let go of but for some reason you can’t. You want to move away from the past but are afraid if you do you will leave a piece of yourself behind. Let it go, leave it in the past, move forward, there is happiness and joy waiting for you.

If the card appears in the “Crowning” position it is telling you that you may need to look into your past, see all the good thing that you have done, know that there is more for you to do. Your life is full of promise; find the joy in life again. You can’t live in despair, this card won’t let you. Joy will find a way too you, embrace it.

Past Life Reading/Clearing - Troy, Emily & Sharon

Emily and Troy were in love. The one big problem was that Troy was married to Sharon. He felt stuck in a loveless marriage. He knew that Sharon didn't love him either. Troy wanted to divorce Sharon but she was making things very difficult for Troy. Emily and Troy didn't quite know what to do.

Emily came to see me and I immediately saw some lives involving the three of them in similar situations.

The first was in Ancient China about 1100 BC. Troy was a powerful man under the emperor. He was in an arranged marriage with Sharon. He did not love her. She did not love him, but loved being married to a powerful man. It made her feel important. Troy loved Emily and secretly met with her whenever he could. This went on for a very long time. Troy could not leave Sharon because it would bring him shame and because of his high standing in the Emperor's court, he did not want to do this. It would also bring shame to his family. Sharon eventually found out about Emily but did not tell her husband that she knew. One night while Troy slept, Sharon killed him, she stabbed him repeatedly with knife. She was afraid that he would leave her and if she couldn't have him then no one could.

In another life, Troy was the female and Sharon and Emily were the males. Troy was in a loveless marriage with Sharon (again). Sharon was a very powerful man. Troy really loved Emily who was a tailor. Troy and Emily met secretly. Since Sharon was very wealthy and liked Troy to dress well, he did not suspect the many trips to the tailor shop. When Sharon finally found out what was going on, she/he took Troy to a beautiful lake for a picnic and while there drown him/her. Everyone thought it was an accident. Instead of killing Emily ,too, Sharon spread terrible rumors about Emily and told everyone what terrible work she/he did. Emily lost all of her/his customers and soon went out of business and lost what little he had. Because of loosing Troy and her/his business, Emily soon died of a broken heart.

There were other lives where similar things happened to the three of them, but Emily soon understood that they needed to do something about this or they would be reliving it all over again. She and Troy had a long talk about what to do and resolved the situation. At least the three of them will not be having a repeat of this scenario.

Appropriate Issues for Rune Casts

An appropriate issue is anything that relates to timeliness and right action. You might want advice on whether or not it is the proper moment to make a career change, make an investment, sell a business, move to a different location or home, terminate or initiate a relationship-all these and similar concerns are suitable issues for consulting the RUNES.

I choose to use the word issues rather than questions. For example, a question might be, “Should I quit my job?” whereas to state is as an issue, you would say, “The issue is my work.” Instead of asking, “Should I move from my apartment?” you can state, “The issue is my current living situation.” The small distinction is a crucial one. If you ask a question and the Oracle provides the answer, then your role is a passive one. However, if you present an issue, and Oracle comments on that issue, this allows you to extract your own answer and take responsibility for determining what is right action.

The RUNES never answer you with a “Yes” or “No.” Their counsel is one of preparation and proper conduct so that you may make a clear and conscious decision regarding the issue at hand.

If you don’t have a specific issue in mind, and you still feel drawn to consult the RUNES, simply ask: What do I need to know in my life now? The Oracle’s reply is invariably nourishing and instructive.

A Rune Reading - Mary (Raido & Degaz)

A woman, who I will refer to as Mary) called me about choosing a RUNE to help her make a decision between 2 issues she was feeling conflicted about. I instructed her to pick a RUNE that would “address the current situation as it is now”. The issue was whether she should go ahead and take a pleasure trip she had been planning for months and had already paid for, or cancel the trip and accept a job offer that had been presented to her unexpectedly.

The RUNE she chose was Raido- the Traveler’s RUNE. Interestingly, this RUNE represents travel, union or re-union, events concerning travel. It can also represent a job with transport or overseas locations. And, on a personal level, it can represent movement and direction in the journey of Life asking you to look at the direction you are moving in toward a goal, or a purpose in life. Mary told me that her decision to take her planned trip was more or less based on a need to “run away” from her exhausting efforts to look for a new job. She had been job searching for 6 months and was doubting her abilities to find a job that would challenge her intellect, feed her longing to associate with like-minded colleagues that shared her interest in spirituality and metaphysics , and that would give her an opportunity to travel to parts of the country she had never seen.

Her planned trip was going to take her to never-explored locations; the new job would involve her with editing manuscripts for authors throughout the country who gave workshops and seminars on various spiritual and transformational subjects. And, the job was to start within 10 days-just before she was to begin her own traveling for the trip she had planned.

Thinking about the issue, “Cancelling the trip and accepting the job”, she chose the RUNE Degaz, The RUNE of Transformation.. This RUNE represents a breakthrough/ radical change/a new dawn or a major change of direction. When a person draws this RUNE it usually tells the querant that they are ready to experience a successful conclusion to a passage and will ultimately experience achievement and prosperity; the darkness has ended and a new day has begun. As a personal interpretation, Degaz was showing Mary that the divine light was guiding her towards her goal and that if she remained clear about what she wanted, the timing would be right and the outcome assured. The instruction she was receiving from this RUNE was to rely on radical trust and take a leap. Because Degaz is the final RUNE belonging to the Cycle of Self-Transformation, Mary’s Warrior Nature was being called into the challenge of making her decision. She was still being cautioned against collapsing herself into the future or behaving recklessly in her new situation if she accepted the job, and a lot of hard work would be involved in this time of transformation; however, knowing that she could look at the two issues (taking her planned trip or taking the new job) and make a decision that would enable her to have a long term gain with a short term loss (the money she had already spent planning her trip), she was ready to accept the job offer and move forward with her life.

Animals are Angels

My daughter crate trained her puppy. Now ten months later I have discovered the many blessings of this practice and know that when we come home from work, everything will be as we left it in the morning. Juniper Berry, also sleeps in her crate at night. In the morning when she has to attend to her natural callings, and if neither one of has let her out, she lets us know by barking.

We also have a thirteen year old cat, Sabrina, who has not accepted the dog. Juniper has grown bigger and moves much faster as she chases Sabrina through the house in fun. Not for Sabrina, who while being pursued, is looking ahead for high furniture she can jump to leaving Juniper disappointed and wondering how she can get up there after the cat.

We have noticed how Sabrina likes to taunt Juniper when they are separated by a glass door when the dog is in the patio. Or when Sabrina knows she is high enough, she will dangle a paw and tease Juniper playing “Catch me if you can!”

One morning, Juniper started barking. My room is closest to where she sleeps so I hear her first. A mistake on my part when my daughter and I bought the house, but then getting a dog was not in the plans. I tried to ignore her, and remembered the night before both my daughter and I had gone to bed early. So I am thinking her little bladder is needing to empty. As I walk out of my room I see Sabrina walking out of the room where Juniper’s crate is. She demurely and innocently says a loud ‘miau’ and then I get it. Sabrina had been playing with one of Juniper’s toys right in front of her fully aware of the dog’s incarceration

It’s like having kids again! They test our patience, and so much fun to watch, better than T.V.
Animals are Angels that come into our lives to soothe away pain, love us unconditionally and make us smile.

I am grateful for the opportunity to share this story with you. For more information or if I can assist you in communicating with your pet, please contact me at my website http://www.fromme2youonline.com

Tarot Card - The Five of Cups

The Five of Cups represents, the loss of a loved one, disillusionment, sorrow, regret, or even a broken marriage, it can also represent betrayal or remorse.

The Five of Cups is usually not a card a seeker wants to appear in their spread (depending upon the question), this is because this card is warning you that you are very close to losing a relationship, and your carefree attitude about it is why you are losing it. This card is letting you know that you are probably too late, you could be heading for a divorce, the loss of a friendship, or some other type of relationship. The Five of Cups symbolizes that once again you have taken something or someone for granted, you did not heed the warning signs and if you don’t do something and immediately you will not be able to save or even salvage any part of your relationship.

There are many that think once the Five of Cups makes an appearance there is nothing to be done that can save your relationship, this is not the case. If you truly want to salvage your relationship, it is possible, however, it will take a lot of hard work on your part, and it could also mean you have to swallow your pride. No matter what kind of a relationship is being talked about you need to be prepared to have to work for it. If it happens to be a work related relationship you may have to face a consequence like taking a pay cut, being put on probation, being demoted, and in some cases a combination of two or all of these.

If the Five of Cups appears in your spread this is an alarm going off telling you to wake – up and pay attention, not only to yourself but especially to those who are in your life, and have been there for you. This card is here to tell you that if you continue on the path you are on you are going to start loosing any and everyone close to you, you will end up alone.

If the Five of Cups appears in the “How others see you” position then those around you see how distant you are becoming, they may see you as someone who is taking everything and everyone for granted. They see you as losing yourself. If the card appears in the “How you see yourself” spot, you are being told you already know you need to stop what you are doing and fix your relationship, of course this only applies if you want to fix the relationship, which you probably do, otherwise the Five of Cups would not have appeared to warn you. Something in the relationship is worth saving…so do it.

Past Life Reading/Clearing - Todd

Recently, I did a past life for a young man named Todd. I immediately saw two lives almost overlapping each other. The first life was during Shakespear"s time. Todd was one of the actors that performed Shakespear's plays. He was a young man when he began doing the plays on the stage. At that time, women were not allowed to be on the stage, so young men usually played the women's roles. I saw Todd starting out in a woman's role and he played these parts for a very long time since he looked so young. He continued on the stage until he was quite an older man with white hair and beard and didn't have to wear a wig to play older parts. This was a life he truly enjoyed.

In the second life that played so clearly, Todd was a can can dancer in France. He was a beautiful woman, and a great dancer. He/she had three men all trying to win his/her hand. They used to fight over him/her very often. After quite a few years as a can can dancer, Todd finally found the man of his/her dreams (none of the original three I might add) and settled down and raised a family. The man was wealthy and Todd didn't have to go back to dancing.

When I finished the readings, Todd informed me that he was professional ballet dancer for a large city's Ballet and also did acting. He was 14 when he took up ballet, the same age he was in the first life when he started doing Shakespear. I couldn't have had much better validation than that.

I'm very grateful that I could share this with you.

German Name: Gebo

Colour: Deep Blue

Introduction:

Gyfu can be translated as gift and it really reminds us that when fortune favors us, there will be a price to pay. When such a gift is bestowed upon us we must show generosity and so the gift moves on.

Interpretation:

UprightGyfu has a strong association with partnerships, whether it be in love or in business. It can foretell the strengthening of current relationships or signal the coming of new ones. Harmony and generosity are key, sharing your good fortune with those who are less fortunate.

This is a time to find balance in your life.

Tarot Card - The Four of Cups

The Four of Cups represents Reevaluation; a kindness may come from others, a dissatisfaction with success, boredom, and annoyance. The Four of Cups usually means there is some kind of discord in the relationship. You are dissatisfied with the way the both of you are feeling or where the relationship is heading. The Four of Cups is a card that is trying to tell you to practice moderation when it comes to affairs of the heart or your relationship. Do not take the love you have for granted, make sure you appreciate what you have. If you start to take things for granted you run the risk of losing it. The Four of Cups symbolizes a feeling of being cheated or let down, but be aware that these feelings are usually a result of your unreal expectations.

The Four of Cups does not just deal with boredom or annoyance in a romantic relationship, it can represent these qualities in a business relationship, or a relationship with friends, or even family. Do not misunderstand, this card is not telling you to just give up and let it go, unless that is what is best for all the parties involved. First take a long hard look at the relationship, the time you have put into making the relationship what it is today. Are you willing to give it up because you are bored? If you are not ready then you need to reevaluate and go from there.

If the Four of Cups appears in a spread you are probably being warned to recognize the love you have in your life, make sure you acknowledge that love, don’t take it for granted because if you do you run the risk of losing that love. If you are asking about something other than a romantic relationship, remember the same things apply to all relationships; they have been very good to and for you so don’t take them for granted, don’t just throw it all away without giving it some serious thought.

If the Four of Cups appears in the “Significator” position you are being told you need to take a good close look at the relationship you are in. why are you so bored, or annoyed? You need to decide if all the time and energy you have put into this relationship is worth fighting to keep, or if it is time to just let go and start again. If the Four of Cups appears in the “Future Influences” position it could be an early warning that you are headed towards boredom, and/annoyance in some kind of relationship. Depending upon your question and what you are looking for you have many different possible answers available to you. But always remember to follow you heart.

The RUNE Othila - The RUNE of SEPARATION

A very dear friend of mine (I’ll call Missy, for anonymity purposes) made a conscious decision to choose a daily RUNE as a way of getting a “heads up” at the beginning of each day. I had done several readings for her in the past which resulted in more clarity in her decision-making processes as well as understanding herself and her relationships with friends and work colleagues. I thought this decision of choosing a daily RUNE was an excellent one for her and encouraged her to call or email me anytime if she had any questions.

One day last week Missy emailed me about her chosen daily RUNE, Othila, and told me that she had chosen this several times in the course of a week and was stumped as to what this could mean.

The RUNE Othila is one of the Cycle Runes. Among other things, this RUNE represents a time of separating paths; a radical severance from outmoded ways and relationships with the Self and how you live your life. Whether it is your attachment to the work you do or even to your beliefs about your own nature, the separation called for now will free you to become more truly who you are.

Keeping in mind what this RUNE represents, I reminded Missy that when we feel the need or urge to separate ourselves from what we are used to, it is downright scary! AND it also opens up a lot of questions and the need to take a very close look at ourselves. I suggested that, without taking a lot of time to think about it, she look at what pops into her mind when she thinks of CHANGE and look at that from all different directions and see: what pushes her buttons? what takes her breath away? what makes her feel a palpitation in her chest? What brings on tears and/or anxiety? What makes her smile? I KNEW in my heart, soul, and mind that Missy was making sacrifices in her life regarding working at what she HAD TO DO to support herself financially as opposed to doing what she WANTED TO DO, but I didn’t want to influence her by cluing her in to this before she analyzed the situation herself. I told her to “cogitate” this for a while and get back to me so we could explore further .

The next evening I received an email from Missy saying that she wanted to share something that had happened to her that morning. After she had received my response/questions/suggestions that I had sent to her, she went to work and was confronted by her supervisor that she (Missy) would have to work the closing shift on July 4th. She immediately responded with explatives that she had already made plans, but was informed that there was no one else to cover the shift, and she was “it”!. Missy was “bummed the whole day, frustrated and discouraged”.

Here is an excerpt (reprinted with HER permission) of the email she sent me.
This morning I woke up tired and drained. I took the dog out for a walk on a road that is dirt and skirts the desert, so we see a lot of wild life. Also along this road there are older homes with horse property. As we were walking I notice on one of the side streets a horse and buggy coming towards us, just walking. So I wait, cause I want to see the horse. As they got nearer, I recognize the horse and driver. I had met them a few months ago at a competition I had been invited to. I was so excited to see them; we chatted for a little while and then we continued our separate ways. Walking the rest of the way home, I remembered the RUNE of Separation. The job right now represents a pay check but I knew what really lifted my heart and spirit was experiencing moments like I had just experienced. My whole mind set has shifted, I am on cloud 9 because I know that being around animals and nature is my calling! Whatever “Separation” wants to bring my way, BRING IT ON!

This is a great example of how a single RUNE can help open up areas of thinking that you may have been feeling blockages, frustration, lack of clarity. Thanks for sharing this with us, Missy. You ARE an inspiration!

I am grateful that you all have let me share this information with you. Thank you for visiting our website. If you are interested in learning more about RUNES through a personal reading or have questions you need answered, please feel free to contact me through www.fromme2youonline.com

Past Life Reading/Clearing - Joan

I love history, always have. It was my favorite subject in school. Always had high grades in it. I love museums, places like Williamsburg, Virginia and Gettsburg, Pennsylvania, old forts, restored historic houses, historic towns, etc, etc. I have lots of books on specific times in our past. Maybe my love of history was preparing me for seeing people's past lives. Sometimes if I'm not hearing a particular year of a past life, I can tell about when it was, by the clothes and surroundings of the people in the past life that I'm seeing.

A particularly interesting book in my library is called "Women's Diaries of the Westward Journey". The book contains actual diaries that women kept during the wagon train era of the mid to late 1800's in the US. There are even photographs of some of the women who had written some of these amazing diaries. I loved the book and read it twice, sometimes studying the photos of these courageous women.

I was asked to do a Spirit Guide reading for a lady named Joan. Joan and her husband were getting ready to move, literally across country, from the west coast to the east coast. I prefer to have at least a day or so ahead of time to be able to "pick up" a list of guides and their information for my client. I sat down at the table two days before meeting with Joan and asked for any of Joan's guides that wanted to come forward and give her information, to do so. Quite a few of her guides started talking to me and telling me things that they wanted Joan to know about them. All of a sudden, a lady, an 1800's lady, came into my vision and said she was one of Joan's guides. She looked so familiar to me. Then I realized where I had seen her before. I jumped up from my chair and ran to my book shelves. There in "Women's Diaries of the Westward Journey" was a photograph of this lady that was standing in my kitchen. She told me she was going to help Joan and her husband travel across the country. To have a photo like this was definitely a first for me. Joan was thrilled to not only see the photo of her guide but be able to read her diary of their difficult journey. Joan and I both knew that her cross country trip would not be anywhere near as treacherous as the 1800's lady, especially since that lady would be helping and guiding them the entire way. As it turned out, the lady is going to be around a long time. Joan and her husband moved to the east coast and a few years later moved back to the west and I'm feeling they will be moving quite a few times more.

I was so grateful for all the information Joan's guides gave me for her. Thanks to all of them.

Tarot Reading - Asked and Answered

This is a reading I did for a friend who will be getting married in the next few years, I know that may sound strange but her and her fiancé are only 20 and want to wait until they are a little older. First let me give a little background on these two. They are high school sweethearts and have been together for almost 5 years. He works at an airport and she works with me. One of the problems they have faced over the years is his ex girlfriend, every time she thinks this person is out of their lives she pops up again and starts trying to make trouble. She is a very level headed person and usually does not let things get to her. He on the other hand is a person who wants people to like him and will sometimes do what ever is necessary to achieve that, even if it is not good for him. The last time they saw his ex she promised that she would leave them alone and not cause any more problems for them. She would like to believe this but the ex has promised this before. Her reading revolves around this person.

I will state the question, then tell the place of each card and what the card is as well as a brief description of what the card means in relation to the question, I will then give the full reading answering the question asked as well as the questions that are usually going on in the head and come out in the cards. I am using my Mystic Faerie deck and the standard Celtic cross for this reading. Keep in mind when I did the reading she did NOT tell me the question before I started the reading I do not believe you should have to tell the reader the question this gives them an advantage, which I don’t believe is fair. You will see that I do readings different then most other readers, mine is not the popular way of reading but I have found that it works better for me and those I am reading for.

Question: Will his ex actually leave us alone now?

Knight of Wands – Ready for Action, Restless, Needs to be given a task.
Two of Pentacles – Balance your life, Prioritize your “jobs”.
Seven of Wands – You and your partner are at a standstill, one must compromise, you don’t agree on the situation.
The Magician – You have control over your life, watch your control it could get you into trouble, and use your power wisely.
Wheel of Fortune – How will you face what is happening now? Express your emotions, if you do this you will deal better in the long run.
Ace of Pentacles – You can have the life you want, recognize all the good things you have in your life, don’t focus on the bad.
The Sun – Expect happiness, joy, and optimism, this is a real gift.
Four of Cups – You are annoyed, figure out what is annoying you and decide what you want to do about it.
Ace of Swords – Face your challenge, solve the problem, don’t wine and cry about it…fix it.
Three of Wands – Time to move forward, make sure you know where you want to go and how you plan on getting there.

The answer to this question is no. She will probably not leave you alone; however, it will be up to you as to how you will handle the problem. You have very strong feelings about this person and you resent the fact that she comes into your life from time to time and stirs up trouble. The one question she was also asking (in her head) was if her fiancé would allow this woman back into their lives, yet again. The answer to that question was also yes, he is a person who needs and wants acceptance, even from those that are out to do him some type of harm. You will need to find a way to deal with this fact, if that means you have to compromise then you are the one to decide if that is what you are willing to do.

Her main concern was her fiancé, she did not want to have to deal with the issues all over again, I suggested she speak with him and let him know of her concerns, and also let him know just how angry she was with this individual, and the way it made her feel. She came to me the next week and said she had done as I suggested and was confident that he would hold to his word and not allow his ex back into his life. So far she has not made an appearance.

Star Matrix Healing - Jennifer

Jennifer asked me to do a Star Matrix Healing on her. A few hours before Jennifer came, I asked my Ancient Ones to let me know what negative thoughts and feelings needed to be released and what Positive thoughts and feelings needed to be put back in to fill the voids left from the negative ones. When Jennifer came, we talked for a short time. She told me a few of the things that she felt she was having problems with and after that we started the healing.

Jennifer sat in a chair, and I stood in front of her, facing her. When I was ready, I put my hands about 12 inches in front of her forehead. As I worked on her Crown and Third Eye chakras, I saw things being released from those two chakras, then I refilled those chakras with Peace, Joy and the other positive things my Ancient Ones told me. But when I got to her heart chakra, it was a different story. I tried and tried to see her heart and what needed to be released, but I just couldn't. What the Ancient Ones showed me instead was Jennifer sitting on a chair facing a door. She had one foot on either side of the door frame and her hands on the door knob holding it closed. They showed me people on the other side of the door trying to get in but she continued to hold the door shut. She had closed her heart and refused to let anyone in. Even I could not get in to heal it.

I knew she had a man in her life who loved her dearly. Now I knew why she was having problems with the relationship. I told her there was nothing more I could do since she had her heart closed. Of course she wouldn't believe me. She said she was a very loving person and I must be wrong. I couldn't finish the healing.

A few days later she had scheduled a psychic reading with an amazing well known reader. When Jennifer called the reader at her appointed time, the reader said she was sorry but she couldn't pick anything up on Jennifer because her heart was closed. The reader had no idea what I had told Jennifer a few days before. This truly made Jennifer think. She told me what the reader had said and she now believed me. She finally realized that she was indeed closing her heart to keep from getting hurt.

Today Jennifer has opened her heart, and she and her loving man are very happy. I am always so grateful for the wonderful information that my ancient Ones give me.

Tarot Reading

This is a reading I did for a friend who will be getting married in the next few years, I know that may sound strange but her and her fiancé are only 20 and want to wait until they are a little older. First let me give a little background on these two. They are high school sweethearts and have been together for almost 5 years. He works at an airport and she works with me. One of the problems they have faced over the years is his ex girlfriend, every time she thinks this person is out of their lives she pops up again and starts trying to make trouble. She is a very level-headed person and usually does not let things get to her.

Keep in mind when I did the reading she did NOT tell me the question before I started the reading, as I do not believe you should have to tell the reader the question as this gives them an advantage, which I don’t believe is fair. You will see that I do readings different then most other readers, mine is not the popular way of reading but I have found that it works better for me and those I read for.

Question: Will his ex actually leave us alone now?

1. Knight of Wands – Ready for Action, Restless, Needs to be given a task.
2. Two of Pentacles – Balance your life, Prioritize your “jobs”.
3. Seven of Wands – You and your partner are at a standstill, one must compromise, you don’t agree on the situation.
4. The Magician – You have control over your life, watch your control, it could get you into trouble, and use your power wisely.
5. Wheel of Fortune – How will you face what is happening now? Express your emotions, if you do this you will deal better in the long run.
6. Ace of Pentacles – You can have the life you want, recognize all the good things you have in your life, don’t focus on the bad.
7. The Sun – Expect happiness, joy, and optimism, this is a real gift.
8. Four of Cups – You are annoyed, figure out what is annoying you and decide what you want to do about it.
9. Ace of Swords – Face your challenge, solve the problem, don’t wine and cry about it…fix it.

The answer to that question was also yes, he is a person who needs and wants acceptance, even from those that are out to do him some type of harm. A Rune Reading Story - Marie

Recently I had an opportunity to do a RUNE reading for a woman (I’ll call her Marie for anonymity purposes) who had never experienced the magic of RUNES. We decided to keep it simple by just having her choose one RUNE. When the “querant” (the person addressing an issue/choosing the RUNE) chooses a RUNE from the bag, I usually do not want to know what the issue is that he/she has in mind before choosing the RUNE. The reason for this is that oftentimes the RUNE chosen addresses a very different “issue” from the one thought to be originally addressed. And, in this manner, I refer to it as “the RUNE choosing the issue“, rather than the querant choosing the issue.
After a couple moments of silent meditation, Marie chose the RUNE Mannaz. This RUNE represents The self, inner being, soul, manhood or womanhood. Its characteristics include your mind, your ego, your body; people in general, the world, friends or family or associates; clarity of thought, tolerance, consideration, and willingness to change. It also symbolizes a sense of cooperation between individuals. This is one of the RUNES of Self-Transformation which was a totally appropriate RUNE choice for Marie. The personal information I was able to channel for her in relation to choosing this particular RUNE involved an urgency to make some personal changes in her life by openly communicating with people close to her which was weighing heavily on her mind. It was clear to me that she needed some clarity in balancing her mind, body and spirit by opening up to new experiences that would directly involve a new way of life for her. I saw her as struggling with decisions about a current living situation and, before she could resolve these issues, she had to be clear about what she wanted, face up to her fears, and admit that she needed assistance from those she loved and trusted to help her make some major decisions. I also shared with her that it was time to “get over herself”, meaning it was time to start sharing her “true spirit”, rather than her “ego”, and own up to the fact that in trying to do it all “herself”, she was not being authentic in who she really was-a woman who was fearful of making the wrong choices; she masked herself as a woman who wanted her family to see her as the “strong one”, “in total control”, and “one who EVERYBODY could rely on for strength”, when in actuality she was feeling very vulnerable and afraid of making the wrong decisions that would ultimately change her life and relationships in the long term. This was not a time to attempt things alone. Her spirit was isolated and needed extra support and energy. It was time to convene with kindred spirits and those who genuinely knew her, loved her, and cared about how she was feeling and what she was struggling with.
After a considerable silence, she admitted that the reading was “right on”, (which astounded her, since she hadn’t told me beforehand what had recently transpired in her life). Just a few hours prior to her picking the RUNE, she had decided to meet with her daughters about her decision to sell the home she had raised her family in and go into an assisted living apartment. She was afraid that they would see her as “less of a mother” than the one who had raised them, and was fearful of disappointing them by letting them know that she “wasn’t as strong anymore as she used to be”.
She left our session with a renewed sense of joy, confidence, and strength knowing that she was on the right path in her current decision-making processes.

Past Life Reading/Clearing - Josh

Josh, a young man I knew, was a born leader. Even before he was a teen ager, Josh always seemed to be the leader and he handled it very well without being controlling. There was always something that bothered him now, even though he was in a leadership role where he worked. All who met him liked him and he got along well with everyone. He got promoted at work five times and was to soon to be promoted again. Through all this, something just didn't feel comfortable about it to him.

What I saw was a past life near Mt. Vesuvius during the time it erupted. When Mt. Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD, Josh was a well respected man living in Pompeii. The people looked up to him as a leader. When the volcano blew, a group of people looked to him to lead them to safety. He led them to what he thought was a safe way out, but the volcano had other ideas and sent its lava down to block their escape. No matter which way they turned the whole group was trapped and subsequently burned in the lava.

At the time when he saw they were trapped, he blamed himself for all their deaths. He has been carrying this around with him for centuries. In this life, his brother, two sisters, mother and father were all part of his group that died in Pompeii. Once I made all this clear to Josh and he realized their deaths were not his fault, he was able to let this go and be more comfortable with his new position in life.

I'm so grateful to share this with you and want to Thank You for sharing your time with Me.

Our Pets Remind Us To Live In The Moment

I love the sounds of nature. In the morning when I walk our puppy, Juniper Berry, sometimes my mind is preoccupied with the upcoming events of the day and I don’t pay attention to my surroundings. Juniper who is discovering new sights and sounds, helps bring me back to reality. Suddenly I feel a pull on the leash. I look down, she has sat down and is listening intently to a sound. Her big Boston Terrier ears are like radars honing in on the origin of the sound. At my urgency to continue she looks at me as if saying “Wait a minute, I am listening here!!” At that moment I realize I was taking a walk but my brain was somewhere else. So we stay in silence and watch and listen. Animals are like that, always in the present. What a gift!

I am grateful for the moments I have with Juniper, she is a gift in my life.

My deepest fear...

I was talking to a friend this morning and we were discussing our insecurities about being the center of attention and having others put us there - makes us very uncomfortable! Why is that? Well, I think Marianne Williamson said it best and I want to share that insight with you...

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

When I was a child I was taught not to 'toot my own horn' as people would not like it. As a child I was told to 'be seen and not heard'. As a child I believed I was supposed to be 'humble'. Now, as an adult, I am dealing with all those 'pearls of wisdom' from my parents. 'How can I be brilliant, talented and fabulous' without offending and making everyone around me feel insecure, but most of all, 'How do I do this without those old adages playing in my head on a consistent and repetitive basis? How do I liberate myself from my own fear of being great? Byron Katie would be asking 'Who would I be without this story'? Who would I be? I would be a child of God - made in his own image and meant to shine! We were not made in the image of Jesus, Buddha or Mohammad - we were made in the image of God! What a concept - now I have to think about that on a minute by minute basis - drop the old story and replace it with new thoughts.

I copied the quote from Marianne Williamson and have placed it in front of my computer so I can read it a couple of times a day.....Change your thinking - change your life. I will work on this.

Thank you for sharing your time with me. You are appreciated.

OTHILA - SEPARATION/HOME/PROPERTY

Runic Number: 23
Letter: O
Old English Name: Otel
German Name: Othila
Meaning: Separation, Home, Homeland, Property
Element(s): Earth
Zodiac Sign: Gemini
Gemstone: Ruby
Colour: Deep Yellow

Introduction:

Othila links with the home extending to represent ancestral wisdom - that
which is passed down to us. It reminds us that as one life ends the next
in line must 'pick up the baton', the wisdom, and responsibility and
continue on the journey. It is a time of separating paths. Old skins must be shed
and outmoded relationships discarded. When this Rune appears in a spread, a
peeling away is called for. The Cycle Rune, Othila is a Rune of radical severance.
The proper action is submission and, quite probably, retreat-knowing how and when
to retreat and possessing the firmness of will to carry it out.

Interpretation:

Upright.

This rune may indicate some gain through inheritance or perhaps even
through birthright. It is a time to develop latent potential.
Be on your guard but always act fairly, the opportunities exist to achieve
great wealth for those who act with honour.

Inverted.

Lack of planning or poor preparation may lead to problems. Inactivity
results in lost opportunities. Responsibilities must be grasped and taken seriously.

Runic Number: 15
Letter: Z
Old English Name: Eolh
German Name: Algiz
Meaning: Protection, Refuge
Element: Air
Zodiac Sign: Aquarius
Gemstone: Amethyst
Color: Gold

Introduction:

Algiz is used to ward off evil. It is said to offer opportunities for
growth but more important than that, it offers protection. This Rune serves
as a mirror for the Spiritual Warrior, the one whose battle is always with the self.
Timely action and correct conduct are the only true protection.

Interpretation:

Upright.

The things that you have worked so hard for are coming to fruition. New
relationships will enrich your life and positive influences are shaping
every aspect of your existence.
Even in the heat of battle you are protected, wisdom and vision are your
allies.

Inverted.

You may find yourself coming under attack. Take steps to protect yourself
and be careful not to allow yourself to become exposed or vulnerable.
It is now, more than ever, that you must hold yourself to your highest
values and do not allow yourself to succumb to pettiness and greed.

EOH/EIWAZ - DEFENSE

Runic Number: 13

German Name: Eiwaz
Meaning: Rebirth/Defense
Element(s): Earth, Air, Fire, Water
Zodiac Sign: Capricorn
Gemstone: Topaz
Colour:13 Dark Blue

Introduction:

Eihwaz takes its name from the Yew tree. It was from this tree that the
Vikings fashioned bows to defend themselves and their land. The yew tree
also symbolized warmth as it fed their fires.

Interpretation:

Upright

This rune is often associated with death but it is never negative. It
reminds us that new beginnings and fresh starts can only come after some
aspect of our life has died off. It encourages us to embrace change and
make the best use of the opportunities it offers.
On a cautionary note it warns us to stay alert to what is happening around
us and to be prepared to defend our position.

TAROT - THE HERMIT

The card of the Hermit represents inner strength, vigilance, and counsel; it can also represent prudence, caution, and patience. The card of the Hermit can also symbolize your withdrawal from something, an annulment; it may also be telling you that you are going to be or already are a loner. Do not let this bother you there are times in your life when being a loner or Hermit is what you may need to solve a problem.

The Hermit is a knowledge seeker, and the knowledge he is seeking will not be found in the physical world, this knowledge can only be found within you. The Hermit also knows that he must seek his answers on his own, only the sound of his inner voice and the light of the lamp are there to guide him on his journey. If you are to find the answers you are looking for you must seek with those answers with no distractions, it is not enough to rid yourself of your inner turmoil; you must also rid yourself of your outer turmoil as well. The only way to do this is to follow the Hermit in his example, which is complete isolation and withdrawal from the world. This time the isolation is not just by choice, but now it is also a necessity.

If the Hermit has learned his lessons and found true wisdom, he will often pick up his lamp, and return to the “real” world in order to help others meet their own potential. The Hermit knows that true enlightenment and wisdom can only come from within. Wisdom is not presented to you on a silver platter; it is a gift that you give to yourself. Your life lessons can’t be forced, rushed, or made to happen before its time. Wisdom can only come from knowledge when you earn it. Everything you left behind on this journey will still be there when you return, in fact the only thing that will have changed…is you.

If the Hermit appears in your spread he might be telling you that you need to learn more about yourself, and why you exist. He is telling you that it is time to put your worldly problems on hold; it is time to work on the inner you. If the Hermit card appears in the “How others see you” this could mean that other may see you as a mentor, you may be able to teach someone something they did not know. It could also mean that a mentor or a teacher is about to enter your life, if that is the case make sure you are open to the possibility of learning something new.

TAROT - THE DEVIL CARD

THE DEVIL

The Devil card is another card that is misunderstood, the card does not mean you are going to hell, the card is not evil, and however, the card does represent your inner demons. The card of the Devil represents ravage, downfall, violence, disaster, controversy, and it can also represent an ill tempered person, and weird or strange experiences, and it can also mean an unexpected failure.

When something goes wrong in a person’s life and they don’t want to take responsibility for their own actions they have a tendency to say “the devil made me do it”. The Devil did not make you do anything you did not want to do. You allowed the Devil into your life and now you want to blame him for your actions. When you allow the Devil into you, and you allow him to take control of you, you are allowing his power to turn your life upside down. The Devil is here to teach you that you can free yourself from whatever restrictions are holding you back. If you submit to your inner Devil (demons) you are also allowing every other negative force out there to enter into you. This is a card that is telling you that you are a victim……but only to yourself and by your own making. If you are to have control over your inner demons you must first accept that you have negativity in you, but you can take control of those demons and not allow them to control you.

If the card of the Devil shows himself in a spread he is telling you the answer you are looking for will not come easily, but once you find those answers they will be freeing. This card is also telling you that if you allow desire to control you it can lead to such things as obsession, addictions, and anything else that would be unhealthy for you. You can take this as a warning to not be afraid of your desires, enjoy the healthy ones, they are beneficial to you. You must also take this card as a warning not to give your destructive desires any kind of foothold in your life, to do so will lead you down a path you don’t want to go and may not come back from. This card is ominous but it is not meant to be scary, it is meant to be a warning, this card says you are heading in the wrong direction but you can come back from it.

If the Devil card shows up in your “Crossing” position it could be telling you that you are not in control of your life right now, something else is controlling you, and it is a result of your own actions. If you think that darkness has taken over your life then it probably has, but again you created the situation and the Devil card is there to tell you in no uncertain terms that if you don’t get off this path and on to another you are doomed, but the Devil did not make you do it. Take responsibility for your actions and make the change.
