Conquering Our Fears.

In a conversation with my daughter, I told her ‘As we mature it is important to live our life to the fullest‘. She knows I am afraid of heights, so she challenged me with this question. “You mean you would go up in a hot air balloon?” To which I said “Yes!” Not expecting her to follow through, on my next birthday she treated me to the thrill of this event.

I mentioned to a friend the conversation with my daughter and my fears. She answered me with “When we conquer our fear of heights we are able to better manage our decisions and life in the future.” This comment was profound and made me think about my plans for the future that I kept putting on the back burner because the critic in me would jump in with, but, if’s, and you shouldn’t.

I thoroughly enjoyed the balloon ride and was not at all afraid. This made me re-think and let go of a fear that no longer served me. I am now able to look at the new prospects in front of me, realize I no longer want to work an 8 to 5 job. Instead I want to do work that is fulfilling, rewarding and brings me joy.

TAROT CARD / STRENGTH

The card of Strength usually uses the symbol of a lion as the lion is known for his brute strength; another animal that is sometimes used is the dragon. These animals are used because they symbolize the “best within” us all. You may think this represents your strength in the physical sense, however, that is not the case with this type of strength, and this is the card of inner strength or the battle within.

None of the major arcana cards deal totally in the physical world. They deal with feelings, ideas, and beliefs. The true meaning of the word strength is your character and fortitude; it is also your ability not only to control your emotions but to also help control your impulses and desires.

The card of Strength represents strength, courage, energy, action, and conviction. The card can also represent determination, virility, and even heroism. This card should not be seen to represent compassion, nurturing, or forgiveness. This card is about forcing your will but it should only be forced upon yourself. This card is not about love or hatred, it is simply put, a card about mind over matter. Be aware that this process is not a short or easy one; it is a slow and difficult process.

If the card of Strength appears in your spread you are probably being reminded that you need to connect or reconnect with your inner beast, but you also need to learn to control that beast, you cannot just unleash it and hope to keep it under control. You need to find the wisdom of your beast, and no matter what you do make sure you do it with precision, grace, and elegance. Also make sure you do so with the good intention of bettering yourself and the world.

If the card of Strength appears in the “How others see you” it could be telling you that others see you as a person who has control over their emotions, you have awakened your intuition and spiritual wisdom. If the card appears in the “Future Influences” spot it could be telling you that these qualities are about to enter into your life, so be prepared.

Tarot - Justice

When you see the card of Justice you will notice that she holds a scale in one hand, a sword in the other, and that she is blindfolded. She is blindfolded so she cannot help or hurt us, she does not “see” us, and she only gives us what we deserve. The scales weigh our good vs. bad that we do in life, and the sword is her tool that she uses to deliver our Justice. The easiest way to define her would be Karma, or to say what goes around comes around. What you put out there is what will come back to you and come back to you even more. The card of Justice represents a considerate person, virtue, righteousness, and honor. She can also represent balance, harmony, equality, and even advice.

Justice does not apply to man made laws, however, her laws often mimic our human ones, and so in a sense she enforces man’s law. Justice is here to remind us that everything we do has an effect on everything else, and if we upset the balance there can be great consequences. Justice does not just take care of those who upset the balance and break those laws; Justice can also hand out rewards. If you are mindful of your actions and you don’t do anything to hurt someone else you will in the end be rewarded.

If the card of Justice makes an appearance in your spread she is more then likely trying to remind you to look at your past actions. You are being warned that you are out of balance and you need to find that balance if you want to be rewarded. Justice is telling you that whatever you have done there is still time to try and make it right. Justice does not want to hand out a sentence, she would much rather hand out rewards.

If Justice shows herself in the “Above your head” position she may be trying to tell you that you have a guilty conscious about something and you will need to deal with whatever it is that is making you feel guilty. She is reminding you that your balance is out of order; you need find your balance to reestablish your Karma. If you don’t deal with your guilt and make whatever you did right, Justice will have no choice but to use her sword to dole out that justice. If Justice appears in the “At your feet” position Justice is trying to tell you that you are lucky, your Karma is in balance and therefore so are you. Keep up what you are doing and you will stay on your path.

Past Life Reading/Clearing - Jill & Margie

Jill and Margie were very good friends, they had a special connection. They wanted to know one of the lives they had had together.

I saw Jill and Margie as sisters. Jill was about 7 or 8 and Margie was 5. They lived with their Mother in England in the 1800's. Their father had left years ago. Their mother did laundry and sewing for people and to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads (such as it was), she had to do an awful lot of it. Jill and Margie were left pretty much to themselves. Jill was the older and therefore the "babysitter" and had to look after her younger sister. They played in the streets most of the time. Even at that young age, Jill was becoming very street smart. One day a very shady character found Margie sitting alone, and started to talk to her. Jill had gone around the corner to see what she could "find" for them to eat. The man had more in mind than just talking to Margie. He had her by the hand and was starting to pull her away with him, when Jill came back and started screaming and kicking the man in the shins, poking him and what ever else an 8 year old could do. All this noise and commotion caught the attention of some passers-by who just happened to know Jill and Margie and managed to chase the man away.

Jill saving Margie helped to explain part of their close connection in this life. It was also very interesting to Jill, since the man who was trying to steal Margie, was Jill's ex-husband in this life. In this life, he had been addicted to pornography, and had molested his own children. When Jill had found all this out, she had taken the children and left him.

This life explained a lot for her too. Learning about this past life strengthened Jill and Margie's relationship even more in this lifetime.

TAROT CARD - JUDGEMENT

The card of Judgement can represent many things including atonement, awakening, a renewal, the need to forgive, of course judgement, a well lived life, rejuvenation, better health, rebirth, a quickened mind, improvement, promotion, efforts are rewarded, and development.

The Judgement card is said to have originated from Christianity and is yet another card of transition, however, this cards energy is not negative nor does it denote any kind of catastrophe. This card represents a rebirth, but not through dispelling negativity, but an integration of all the parts of you. Some would say your spirit has been cleansed and restored, and all without loss or addition of anything it just is. Judgement is usually seen as a day of reckoning, a day when you must answer not only for your actions but your inactions as well.

Some would say the card of Judgement can also represent a cleansing, it is a time when your slate is wiped clean, you get the chance to start over, all your debts are taken care of, and you no longer have anything to worry about. This card will teach you to be aware of your past mistakes and not to dwell on them, use them as lessons so you do not make the same mistakes again. Many would believe the card of Judgement is not a card of endings but of beginnings, this journey is over but your next journey will take place on a higher plane of existence.

If the card of Judgement appears in a spread you are being told to look at your life and the possibilities that are before you. You are supposed to be doing something and whatever that something is it will be for your spiritual growth and it will benefit the universe. If the card appears in the “Significator” position you are probably being told that it is your time for Judgement, it is time for you to do something with your life, and this will happen if you are judged, your slate is clean, your debt is paid, it is time for you to start again…Good Luck.

Past Life Reading/Clearing - Wendy & Jake

Wendy came to see me as she was having an unexplained feeling of anxiety or, as she said, a heaviness in her chest. While discussing her feelings of anxiety, Wendy clearly had no idea what was bothering her. The only thing she could even remotely come up with as any type of problem was, ‘She was having a bit of family trouble with her brother, Jake’.

With this little information and the fact that Wendy was feeling such anxiety, I agreed to do a Past Life Reading for her. What came up in a past life for Wendy was very interesting. I saw Wendy’s brother Jake, as her husband in the 1800's. Jake was a "mountain man" and had married her to be a companion. I saw Wendy as a Native American woman. They had two children, both were girls. Evidently they traveled fairly regularly as while I was doing the past life reading, I felt Jake was tired of having to travel with a wife and two children. He felt like they were too slow and required too much time and care. They were traveling in Southern Canada in winter, which made it even more of a burden. I felt and saw Jakes’ frustration and knew he just couldn't take it anymore. While they were trudging through the snow at the bottom of a mountain, he went on ahead and let Wendy manage the girls. When he got far enough away from them, he fired a gunshot into the side of a mountain covered with snow. The shot caused an avalanche, which completely covered Wendy and one of the girls. The other girl was covered in snow up to her head. She couldn't move as she was stuck in the snow and rocks. Jake left, thinking they were all dead. The daughter, stuck and freezing, died soon after.

After hearing the reading, Wendy understood why she felt the heaviness in her chest. In analyzing the past life and comparing it to this life, we discovered that the daughter that had been buried with Wendy was also Wendys’ daughter in this life. Wendys’ other daughter is Jakes current wife. Wendy’s anxiety with her brother Jake came from their past life when he caused their deaths. After we worked on Wendy being able to forgive Jake in the past life and in this life, the heaviness went away.

So, once again, it becomes clear that we travel with many of the same people through many lives together. It can explain why certain feelings, we have about those we travel with, are sometimes confusing. This one shows a great example of a love/hate relationship and why without the past life reading may never be fully understood.

As always, the names have been changed to protect the privacy of my clients. Using an ORACLE to Help Trust our Own Judgment or Instincts

How many times have we as individuals said of an evolving situation, “If only I had trusted my own judgment and/or instincts”? There are so many opportunities for us to make decisions that affect our lives, as well as other’s close to us, that making the right one(s) isn’t always so simple.

If we are familiar with metaphysical sciences, we may choose to consult cards such as Tarot, Animal Spirit Guides, Crystal, Flower, or Angelic realms; or we may use tools like, but not limited to, Astrology, Runecasting and various real Crystals to assist us in gaining insights to “the right moves to make”. And, it is all subjective to interpretation - our OWN - which starts with asking ourselves several questions. To name a few: (1) what do I want, (2) what am I feeling, (3) how is “this” affecting my life, (4) how is “this” affecting the lives of those around me, (5) what kind of clarity am I looking for, (6) how will doing (whatever the action being consulted)…change my life, (7) does “this” fall in the category of “right action”?

By asking ourselves these types of questions before consulting any form of ORACLE, we allow ourselves to dig into our own power of trusting our judgment and instincts and then using THAT along with assistance we get from the form of Oracle we consult. The ORACLE will help to provide immediate access to our Divine Spirit, where we receive specific guidance for any and all challenges facing us in life. A clearer path to our Higher Self is made more readily available to us, as we begin to free ourselves from the turbulence and fears of that which is our Ego, making it easier to step into the paths of joy and inner peace.

TAROT - REVERSAL OF CARDS

The following is opinion only.

Reversal of Cards is one of the, if not the biggest debate about Tarot Cards. Does a card being reversed automatically mean that a good card is now bad and a bad card is now good? Does it mean that the flow of energy coming from the cards is blocked and will no longer be able to finish, or that the energy flow is now less then what it was? Or are the cards reversed because that is the way cards are shuffled, and picked up. Regardless of what you believe it is better to be informed.

All of these questions come down to a couple of things. It depends on the type of deck you are using and if that particular deck gives you a meaning for the card if it is reversed. It also depends on the reader; there are some who use decks that do not have a reversal meaning yet the reader will interpret the card if it reversed.

I personally do not use the reversal in my readings. I believe the cards are able to tell me, and the seeker, what we need to know without having to interpret a card that is reversed, and possibly scare someone. I believe there are enough cards in a Tarot deck already so whatever needs to be said will be said. It is up to you if you do decide to use card reversal during a reading.

To illustrate we will use the death card (as it seems to be a favorite). The death card symbolizes change, the end of something. If you go with a reversal then this would be saying you are at a stand still and you are not going to finish what it is you are trying to finish. This would be ok, except in the Tarot deck there are already cards that are able to tell you that you are at a stand still, I believe a card does not need to be reversed to bring that to light.

If you do want to use reversal just remember you just now doubled the deck you are working with. If you are unsure about reversals the best advice I can give you would be to work without them and let the meanings be just that.

I wish to express my appreciation and gratitude for your willingness to share your time with me. Thank You.

Past Life Reading/Clearing - Millie

Millie is a maker of historical costumes, specializing in Civil War Era. She lives near a town with a huge mansion dating back to right before 1860. She passed this mansion on her way to work each day and always felt drawn to that mansion and could never understand why.

One day she came to see me and as we were talking about the mansion, I saw her in the mansion helping bloody soldiers. I "heard" someone call her and they called her ‘Susan’. After our session Millie decided to look into the history of the mansion. Upon doing a little research at the local library, Millie found out the lady of the mansion had been named Susan and her house had indeed been used as a hospital during the Civil War. Millie had been Susan! No wonder she was drawn to the house and that would also explain her fascination with Civil War era clothing

Past Life – Debra

As grown siblings, Debra had always had trouble with her brother, Paul. He always insisted that she do things his way. He made her life very difficult if she didn't do what he wanted. Even though they were both married and didn't live close to each other, Paul still managed to run the show. She didn't know how to deal with him and still keep a peaceful life. It became really horrible when their elderly father became ill. Debra had been in the medical profession and wanted to care for their father, but Paul made it virtually impossible. She had just ‘had it’ and came to see. Debra had been referred to me and she wanted to know if there was anything in a past life that could be the cause of this problem.

While she was telling me all this, somehow it came out that she was also extremely afraid of heights and thought maybe we could work on that too. Her fear was so strong that she couldn't even walk near the curb on city sidewalks. The distance from the sidewalk to the street was just too much of a distance for her.

The life that came up for Debra was one in what is now Kashmir in Southeast Asia. In this life both Debra and Paul were both men and lived very near the Himalayan Mountains in the late 1500's. Paul again was the controlling sibling and made life very difficult for Debra and her/his family. Paul got it into his head that he wanted to climb to the top of the Himalayans, but he needed Debra's help. Debra absolutely refused. She/he was perfectly content living with her/his wife and family and didn't like leaving like leaving them for any length of time. Paul did everything in his power to make Debra come with him. Debra finally agreed to go with him. They set off for the climb. After many, many days of freezing weather and terrible winds and deep snow, Debra decided it was time for them to go back. She missed her/his family. She couldn't convince Paul to turn around so she decided to start back by herself. Paul was so angry that he couldn’t convince her to continue on with him that he decided to follow her back down, but when they came to an area near a deep crevasse, Paul’s anger got the best of him and he pushed Debra into the crevasse. She died from the fall.

Paul was determined to reach the top so he turned around and trudged on leaving Debra in the crevasse. A few days later, Paul had an accident and became stuck between two shelves. He had no one to help, as no one knew that Debra was no longer with him and so he also died.

At the end of my reading, I also saw that both of their bodies are still frozen somewhere in the Himalayans.

Debra's wife in that life is now her father in this lifetime. She didn't get to take of him/her in that life because of her death at the hands of her brother, and is also facing the same dilemma now due to her brother.

Because of this reading, Debra understands the dynamics of their relationship and is now able to stand up to her brother and actually tell him "no" when needed. Paul realizes her new strength and no longer tries to control her. Their relationship has gotten much better.

Due to the information given, she also found out that being pushed and falling such a long way on that mountain was the cause of her fear of heights. After several sessions and the work we did on that life, she is now able to climb ladders, go up tall buildings and look down, and walk along the edge of the sidewalk near the street. Hurray for Debra!!!

We appreciate your time and your willingness to share it with us. Thank You!

TAROT CARD - THE EMPEROR

In his most simplistic form the Emperor represents some type of accomplishment, he gives you confidence, stability, he can bring you wealth, he can help you reach some type of achievement, and he provides leadership. The Emperor is the Husband/Father/Brother figure, and he represents a capable person.

The Emperor is the second part to the Mind-Body-Spirit triad. He represents the power of the mind to help shape the world. He is the father figure, he is wise in the ways of the world, and even though he is not human, he knows how to blend in and get along with everyone else. He knows how to make other around him comfortable; he knows how to make them feel safe and protected.

As the father figure he likes order and demands respect. The Emperor can create order out of chaos, if he does this he does not like that order to be disturbed, and he will do what is necessary to keep that order. With his powers he sets restrictions, and these restrictions are for your own good. The Emperor believes that without law and order the world would fall into a state of anarchy. The concern would be that power corrupts, however, the Emperor cannot be corrupted by power, and he is beyond such petty indulgences. Although the Emperor will listen to the counsel of others the final decision is always up to him, he is the power and he is the law.

The other aspect of the father figure is that he is a role model, he offers advice while setting direction and bringing security. Those few who are lucky enough to fall under the Emperor’s protection are wise enough to repay him with loyalty and respect. He does not allow those around him to become hurt, at least not unless it is needed for a learning experience, then he will allow it, but then again only to a point.

If the Emperor appears in a spread he may be trying to tell you to look for some logic or structure in your life. He may be telling you there are some hard choices ahead and you need to focus and make sure whatever you decide to do it is done in a respectful manner and in a way that will help you keep the balance in your life and in the world.

Past Life Reading/Clearing - Ken

Not everbody has a problem they would like to solve by finding out a past life. Some would just like to know some of their past lives.

When we talk about past lives we are usually talking about more than one on this plane. This reading showed Ken that he has been on a particular path for more than one lifetime.

I talked to Ken, a young man who had amazing energy. He had been leading a life that not all mothers would have been proud of. After a vision and a spiritual awakening, he left that life behind and now his spirituality is blossoming. He just can't seem to learn enough. He feels that he will be helping people in some way. I saw three past lives for him in close succession.

In the first he was a monk in a monastery in the mountains of China. He was so good and so very wise that people would come from everywhere to seek his counsel. He always seemed to have a line of people waiting to speak to him. In that lifetime he helped thousands and thousands of people.

In the next life I saw, Ken was a very wise teacher in Greece during the time of Socrates. In fact, he actually knew Socrates. I feel he and Socrates had many long conversations and discussions and were good friends. Each of their philosophies on life were influenced by the other. In this life, Ken was kind, generous, peaceful and above all, humble. He lived to be a very old man.

The third life I saw for Ken was as a medicine man/shaman in the Oneida Tribe of Native Americans in New York. He began as the medicine man in 1587 and continued on to 1650 when he died of old age. Here again he was incredibly wise, kind, peaceful. He was respected by not only his own tribe but many others as well.

Ken is still very young in this life. I believe part of his purpose here is to teach and help people, as a continuation of many other lives.

TAROT CARD - THE LOVERS

Many believe that the card of the Lovers appearing in a spread automatically means that you are going to find love, well…that is true. The question now is how is this love going to enter your life. Is the love from another person, or is the love going to come from yourself? There are many different types and forms of love and you will need to be open to them all if you are to receive the love you are looking for.

The Lovers find completeness and a solace within one another; this is the union of both the masculine and the feminine. They are aware of one another’s weaknesses and strengths, yet they are still willing to come together and form a perfect union. Do not let the word perfect confuse you, in this context perfect refers to the way they not only feel about each other but how they deal with one another. There is no such thing as perfect except in the eye of the beholder.

The Lovers is the card of emotions, many believe this means nothing but good can come from the ‘perfect’ union, and however, that is not always the case. The card could be telling you about passion, and passion is not always a good thing. To be ruled by passion is to lose control of yourself and your ability to reason, this of course is not a good thing. Passion can be good if you are passionate about something, but to have passion is not always good, if it directed at someone it should not be directed at.

Love is magic and with magic comes responsibility and choice, and the choice is as usual, good vs. evil, in other words, is this love real or is it only an illusion. This is the question that the card of the Lovers will have you asking. Love makes you do things you would not normally do, and act in ways you may not normally act, so this card can have many meanings for the word Love.

If the card of the Lovers happens to appear in your spread, it may be a warning to not make too much of a hasty choice. Love is about choice; make sure your choice is the correct one for you. The Lovers are moral and ethical and they may be telling you that you need to see both sides before you can make a decision. If you make the right decisions a perfect love or relationship can be yours, and it does not need to be a sexual relationship. Listen and trust yourself as you are your best conscious.

TAROT CARD - THE EMPRESS

The Empress represents a departure from the dualistic philosophy of the previous cards; the Tarot now starts to deal with uniting the mind, body, and spirit.

The Empress has a special place in her heart for the beginning of life, and that means all life. She gives to all she nurtures, enough wisdom for a strong beginning. Many will see the Empress in a spread and automatically ask if it means they are pregnant, the answer to that would be ‘no’. Her primary power is the power of creation. She is the representation and embodiment of Mother Earth.

The Empress makes no demands, sets no conditions, she loves everything equally and with everything she has, she holds nothing back. She is not perfect; she does have her faults like the rest of us, at least when it comes to her creation.

The “Results” RUNE & The “Outworking” RUNE

When it has been a particularly trying or exhilarating day, you may wish to consult with your RUNES Oracle again in the evening for an evaluation of how you’ve conducted yourself. The RUNE is called the Results Rune, (RR for short), because it answers the question “What has today brought?,” by providing an overview of the day’s challenges and how you have responded to them. Almost invariably, those who use the RUNES in this way will experience subtle shifts in emphasis, and rewarding new ways of interpreting ordinary events.
Everyone has days that are memorable for their overload of demanding decisions. The outworking of a critical situation in the course of a day may impel you to turn to your RUNES for “a good second opinion” more than once. These are called Outworking Runes (OR for short).
When the RR and OR RUNES are used with the Daily Rune, (DR for short), you ultimately have the foundation for keeping a daily diary. The DR will be listed first as the RUNE chosen to show you “what you might be facing for the day”; the OR will be a RUNE you have chosen during the day to “check on your progress” of how you are dealing with the day’s events, etc. You certainly may choose as many OR’s as you think are necessary and it is sometimes very interesting to see how they coincide with each other. The RR will be your “end of the day” RUNE which should stand to give you the “total picture” of how your day went, in relation to the other chosen RUNES. Keeping a diary of all these chosen RUNES and noting the dates will stand as a type of “personal roadmap” for you and will be very useful. By discovering ways to integrate these derived insights into your life, you will learn how to identify patterns and to better understand your life process. Position, Pattern, and Process are the three “P’s” of self-change.

Past Life Reading/Clearing - Doris and Carole

Doris and Carole

I'm sure we've all had friends or relatives who were ALWAYS late. Doris had a friend who was one of those people, but she wasn't just 10 or 15 minutes late, sometimes it would be hours. Doris's friend, Carole, usually didn't even have a good excuse as for why she was late. Carole's lateness would just set Doris off and it would make her unbelievably angry. Because Doris was normally a very calm, patient person, she came to see me and asked where this anger was coming from. Doris knew there had to be something or some reason this was an ongoing issue for her.

During the session with Doris we discovered that Doris indeed had a past life with Carole regarding this lateness. Doris and Carole lived in England in the early 1700's. Carole was a man who made his living as a thief. Doris was also a man, with a family and was very poor. Doris desperately needed money for his family. Doris contacted Carole and asked him if he knew of any big "jobs" that he could help with and split the take. Actually, Carole had been planning to rob Mr. Scott. Everyone knew that Mr. Scott was the wealthiest man around and Carole had found out where he kept his money hidden in his house.

So, Carole and Doris planned the whole thing down to the last detail. They watched his schedule and then decided to wait for Mr. Scott to go out for the evening and then they would be able to be in and out before he got back. Carole was to meet Doris just a block from Mr. Scott's large house. The night of the robbery arrived and Doris was waiting at the prearranged spot. She waited and waited and waited. The longer she waited, the more nervous she was getting, especially since she had never done anything like this before. Carole showed up almost 2 hours past the appointed time. Apparently Carole had been having a little roll in the hay with a young girl (remember she was a man in this past life)and didn't want to leave. Just as they were headed for Mr. Scott's, they saw his carriage drive up to the door. Their chance at the money was ruined and Doris was so angry, she punched Carole as hard as she could and knocked her down. Then Doris turned very quickly to run back home but in her anger, failed to watch where she was going. Doris never noticed that Mr. Scott had gotten back into his carriage and was leaving his house. Doris ran right in front of Mr. Scott's carriage and was run over and killed.

No wonder Doris was upset at Carole's lateness. Not only was she killed in that life, but she left a wife and children to starve. Doris now understood her anger at Carole and was able to release the anger. Doris still didn't like it when Carole was late, but it was easier for her to deal with because she understood the connection to the past and how it was all tied to this life time.

An interesting side note to this life is that Mr. Scott is Carole's husband in this life, but that is another story altogether and for another time.

Runecasting- An Ancient Form of Psychology

The Vikings had a remarkable understanding of human psyche in that they recognized cause and effect and the interconnectedness of all things. The word “wyrd” did not originally mean something unusual or strange; rather, it referred to the far-reaching effects of that which one does. The concept of “FATE” was also not as we know it now. Instead of a helpless predestination, “FATE” meant a destiny created by one’s earlier actions.
“WEIRD” is pictured as a web, like that of a spider. When the spider steps onto a thread (a path), the vibrations affect the entire web and that which is contained within the web. Just as our actions affect our immediate world and those around us, the actions of others affect OUR lives.
When one does a runic reading, one usually addresses a particular issue, and examines the past, the present and the “future”, or rather “what will be if one follows the path one appears to be on.” The future is always perceived as changeable. The runic reading is done as an evaluation process, not as fortune-telling. One has an opportunity to look at what has occurred in the past (regarding the issue being questioned), what is occurring right now, and what direction one is headed. A rune caster does not see the future. He/she examines cause and effect and points out a likely outcome.

'THE FOOL' TAROT CARD

The Fool also known as Dionysus was the child of Zeus, king of the Greek Gods and Semele a mortal woman.

The Fool is the quintessential child. He comes across as innocent, but don’t let that innocence fool you. The Fool is very smart and because of his child like behavior he has been known to tell the truth, even when others, like adults are afraid too. The Fool gives you permission to be your inner child. It helps you find that inner child and be comfortable with it.

The Fool helps us find the answers we need, regardless of whether those answers run beneath the wisdom of society, these answers may very well be the opposite of what an adult might suggest. In other words don’t conform to what society thinks, listen to your inner child and it may give you the answers you are looking for.

The Fool can represent many things, the most common are new opportunities, adventures, and of course new beginnings. Under the right circumstances the card can also represent passion and pleasure as well as thoughtlessness, rashness, and unlimited possibilities. Of course it all depends on where in the spread the card decides to show itself, and the question the fool is supposed to answer.
For example if you are asking about your job and the Fool shows up in the Hopes and Fears spot it could possibly mean you are tired of your current job and are looking for a new one, but you may be afraid to quit and start over again. Another example could be if you have been sick and undergoing some type of treatment, you are starting to get better, and you want to know if you will stay healthy the card may show up in the Final Outcome position, meaning you are starting new.

The Fool more often than not means there is a new beginning coming for you, however, you may not know when or where this new beginning will happen, just remember that this does not automatically mean it will be a good new beginning, but it will be one that is needed. So don’t be afraid of it.

Rune Reading Information

Introduction:

Ur or Uruz symbolizes the, now extinct, auroch (a wild bison). These animals were prized for their great strength and relative speed. They were also significant because the hunting of these creatures formed part of a 'rites of passage' for young warriors.

Interpretation:

Upright.
The RUNE "Uruz" symbolizes the strength to break through and move on. It is a sign of new beginnings, a time to shake off the past and to take advantage of new opportunities. We are reminded that before each new beginning must come an ending and endings can be an emotional time. However, we must remember that ultimately, it will be to our benefit.

By living each day to its fullest, we can be assured that from every ending comes new life. We must do whatever it takes to succeed and seize each moment so that we will never come to regret missed chances.

When the RUNE "Uruz" is picked, it represents a favourable time for high risk ventures.

Inverted.

When the RUNE "Uruz" is inverted in a spread, it signals a possible time of ill health, lack of vitality or general weakness which may manifest itself in weak will power or lack of clarity in thought.

A possible missed opportunity will require careful consideration and planning if it is to be dealt with successfully. There is a potential advantage to be gained through any kind of loss, but it may require an extraordinary or unusual act of will, courage, and strength of character to capitalize on any rewards to be gained.

Past Life “Fear of Loss”

One of the most common questions I hear is “Why am I so afraid that my lover or significant other is going to leave me?” This is a repeated fear I hear when it comes to someone asking for a past life clearing. Here is a story I would like to share with you in an attempt to answer this question as it concerns one of the many clients I worked with that found themselves dealing with the actual loss of a lover. As always, the names have been changed to protect their identities.

Isabelle was in love with Nancy. After a relationship of a few years, Nancy fell in love with William and left Isabelle. Isabelle was heartbroken and couldn't seem to get over Nancy. So Nancy came to see me and in doing a ‘clearing’ for her, I discovered that in a past life, in the late 1700's in France, Isabelle, Nancy and William were all men in the French army. Both Isabelle and Nancy were male soldiers and William was an officer. Nancy and Isabelle were best friends and Nancy (He) was secretly in love with William. One day when the two soldiers were walking together they passed William. He (Nancy) decided to use this opportunity to tell William how he (Nancy) felt about him. William was extremely upset, as he didn't take to the idea that another man was in love with him. It made him angry enough that he drew his sword to attack him (Nancy). Isabelle, being afraid that William was going to kill Nancy, or at the very least he (she) would get hurt, stepped in front of the sword and was killed saving his friend from certain death.

Through the discovery of this incident in their past lives together, we determined that Isabelle didn't want Nancy to leave since she felt she had given her life for Nancy and Nancy owed her. Isabelle felt that Nancy owed her since she had freely given both her love and her life for Nancy. Once she understood this fear of loss came from that loss in a previous life together, it was easier for Isabelle to go on with her life, accept the current relationship between Nancy and William and is now in a very loving relationship of her own.

THE WORLD TAROT CARD

One card that can confuse many people is The World. Many see it and think it means what goes around comes around, or we end where we began, but neither of these assumptions is accurate.
The World card pictures a dancer with a circle of laurel leaves on her head; this circle symbolizes the great Mother through which everything is born. The World card can also be the doorway to the next life after death. There are many meanings to this card, and many of them depend on where the card appears in a spread, one of the most common meanings is completion. The World card represents a successful conclusion to something; all aspects are accounted for and taken in. In other words this card tells the seeker that the end to a long-term project is in sight, and that it will be accompanied by well earned praise, celebration, and success.
As with all the cards where it is in the spread will determine the actual meaning or interpretation of the card based on the seekers question, however, the most common meaning of this card regardless of where the card is in the spread is as follows. The goal you have been working so hard to accomplish is about to come to you. All your hard work, frustration, knowledge, and patience is about to pay off. If you have been working towards that PhD or waiting for that special someone to be there it is all about to happen for you.
The World card at times has also been described as the nomad card due to the fact that sometimes the meaning of this card can indicate that the reason you feel so comfortable anywhere you go is because anywhere you go is now home. It can also indicate that if a person owns nothing it is because the world is yours to do what you will with it.

The Motto of RUNES

The motto for the RUNES could be the same words that were carved above the Oracle of Delphi: “Know Thyself”. They act as a teacher for us. Yet for some it may be more comfortable to approach the RUNES in a spirit of play. Oracles are sacred games, instruments for serious high play, and the value of play is that it frees us from the effort of learning, frees us to learn as children learn.
Each of us is an Oracle, and when we pray, we are exercising our true oracular function, which is to consult the Knowing Self within. Consulting the RUNES will put you in touch with your own inner guidance, with the part of you that knows everything you need to know for your life now. Consulting an Oracle places you in true present time because whatever happens in the given moment possesses what Carl Jung calls “the quality peculiar to that moment.”
Experiencing a true present is something most of us find extremely difficult. We waste a good part of our lives dwelling on past regrets and fantasizing future disasters. Remembering In the spiritual life, We are always at the beginning helps us to overcome our addiction to “getting ahead.” For when we experience a true present, that is where everything happens.
