TAROT CARD - THE CHARIOT

The Chariot represents a choice, however, not in the way you may think. The choice is not about choosing one path and leaving the other behind, it is about choosing one path and then making the other path work with the one you chose, they need to work together. The griffins that appear on some Tarot decks are black and white, this is to represent opposite ideas, issues, or situations.

The Chariot usually deals with emotions and the necessity to control those emotions; this is where the choice comes into play. Instead of wasting time and energy complaining and grieving you should use that energy to take action and to make changes not only in your life but in the world as well. Your emotions are what help you make decision about every aspect of your life. The Chariot embodies the type of discipline necessary to gain control over your emotions. Many of us have inner demons to deal with and our inner demons are often more difficult to defeat then the outer ones.

If the Chariot appears in your spread it could mean you either have or are about to claim a victory of some kind through discipline and confidence, you are about to experience a moment when all your opposition has been defeated. The Chariot may also be telling you to not let anything distract or sway you from achieving your goals. If you believe in your own power then nothing is beyond your ability.

If the Chariot appears in the “Above your Head” position this could mean that whatever the problem is you need to figure it out, because it is keeping you from moving forward. Moving forward is the only way you can accomplish your goal. If the card appears in the “Past Influences” spot in the spread it could be telling you that you have already faced your inner demons. It is now time for you to move onto the next leg of your journey, you have found a way to make your choices work with one another.
