As grown siblings, Debra had always had trouble with her brother, Paul. He always insisted that she do things his way. He made her life very difficult if she didn't do what he wanted. Even though they were both married and didn't live close to each other, Paul still managed to run the show. She didn't know how to deal with him and still keep a peaceful life. It became really horrible when their elderly father became ill. Debra had been in the medical profession and wanted to care for their father, but Paul made it virtually impossible. She had just ‘had it’ and came to see. Debra had been referred to me and she wanted to know if there was anything in a past life that could be the cause of this problem.
While she was telling me all this, somehow it came out that she was also extremely afraid of heights and thought maybe we could work on that too. Her fear was so strong that she couldn't even walk near the curb on city sidewalks. The distance from the sidewalk to the street was just too much of a distance for her.
The life that came up for Debra was one in what is now Kashmir in Southeast Asia. In this life both Debra and Paul were both men and lived very near the Himalayan Mountains in the late 1500's. Paul again was the controlling sibling and made life very difficult for Debra and her/his family. Paul got it into his head that he wanted to climb to the top of the Himalayans, but he needed Debra's help. Debra absolutely refused. She/he was perfectly content living with her/his wife and family and didn't like leaving like leaving them for any length of time. Paul did everything in his power to make Debra come with him. Debra finally agreed to go with him. They set off for the climb. After many, many days of freezing weather and terrible winds and deep snow, Debra decided it was time for them to go back. She missed her/his family. She couldn't convince Paul to turn around so she decided to start back by herself. Paul was so angry that he couldn’t convince her to continue on with him that he decided to follow her back down, but when they came to an area near a deep crevasse, Paul’s anger got the best of him and he pushed Debra into the crevasse. She died from the fall.
Paul was determined to reach the top so he turned around and trudged on leaving Debra in the crevasse. A few days later, Paul had an accident and became stuck between two shelves. He had no one to help, as no one knew that Debra was no longer with him and so he also died.
At the end of my reading, I also saw that both of their bodies are still frozen somewhere in the Himalayans.
Debra's wife in that life is now her father in this lifetime. She didn't get to take of him/her in that life because of her death at the hands of her brother, and is also facing the same dilemma now due to her brother.
Because of this reading, Debra understands the dynamics of their relationship and is now able to stand up to her brother and actually tell him "no" when needed. Paul realizes her new strength and no longer tries to control her. Their relationship has gotten much better.
Due to the information given, she also found out that being pushed and falling such a long way on that mountain was the cause of her fear of heights. After several sessions and the work we did on that life, she is now able to climb ladders, go up tall buildings and look down, and walk along the edge of the sidewalk near the street. Hurray for Debra!!!
We appreciate your time and your willingness to share it with us. Thank You!
